WIND WARNING now in effect for North Coast

Rain and strong winds are on the way for Prince Rupert and the North Coast today, with Environment Canada issuing a WIND WARNING for the region in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The forecast for the day is calling for periods of rain ending by late this afternoon, with winds Southeast from 30 to 50 km/h, except in mainland inlets and valleys where Northeast winds at 70 km/h can be expected.

The rain ends this evening, however the winds will continue into night hours.

Clearing skies are anticipated by Wednesday morning.
