Rampage on Road to Terrace for CIHL match up

A return match for the Prince Rupert Rampage is on the schedule for tonight as the Rhinos head down the Skeena to take on the Terrace River Kings in CIHL weekend action.

The two teams battled hard through 60 minutes of regular play and a pair of overtime periods last Saturday night at the Jim, the lengthy skate on the night delivering points to both teams in the form of a 4-4 tie.

The hard hitting affair tested the endurance for both squads and sets the table for tonight's rematch at the Terrace Ice Arena with a puck drop of 7 PM.

The Rampage will be hoping that their top scorers keep up their pace in tonight's Northwest reunion, last Saturday Jacob Santurbano, Jordan Weir, Tyler Ostrom and Cole Morris who put the game into the extra frames in the dying seconds of regulation time, all found the mark for Prince Rupert.

Dave Wood held the door closed to the Terrace snipers in the overtime sessions to secure the point.

The Rampage will be looking to climb the standings following tonight's play, currently tied with the Ice Demons at the bottom of a very tight CIHL table, Prince Rupert is but a few wins away from grabbing a share of the top spot heading into the sixth week of play of the season.

The Rhinos will get a break over the Remembrance Day weekend and then return to home ice on the 18th, when they host the Ice Demons at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.

Prior to making the trip to Terrace this weekend, some of the Rampage players went back to school, with members of the team taking part in the reading program at the Port Edward School.

There stop in Port Edward and some help from the Port of Prince Rupert in the way of free tickets to an upcoming game for the students there, should make for some additions to the growing fan base for the local team.

The latest out of the Rhino's room can be reviewed from the Rampage Facebook page and twitter feed.
