If the challenge of operating the City's artistic jewel of the Lester Centre of the Arts is in your wheel house, you have thirty one days to submit your application to the search committee as the Lester Board begins the task of finding someone to replace the energetic Crystal Lorette, who will be taking her leave from the Lester stage in August.
The popular guardian of the Lester Centre operations, provided her steady hand on the facility for twelve years, overseeing both performances on the stage, the day to day operation of the facility and a number of key renovation projects for the community's focal point for the Arts at McBride Street and Wantage Road.
Finding the replacement for someone with that much energy is the task of the Human Resources Committee for the Lester Centre, which has begun accepting applications for the position, with a deadline for submission set for May 31st.
What the Lester Centre committee is looking for is a dynamic leader and creative thinker able to guide the 700 seat facility forward.
Among the many duties an ability to manage Theatre Operations, recruit, manage and provide support and direction to a volunteer base that take care of the operational and technical aspects of the Lester Centres operations.
