Gitga'at look to clean up with new commercial venture

Brand new equipment and Brand New Owners as the Gitga'at launch
Spotless Cleaners in Prince Rupert

If your growing list of household chores is facing some time constraints, a new business recently launched by the Gitga'at Development Corporation may let you reclaim some of your valuable personal time.

Prince Rupert's Spotless Laundry recently opened its doors at 217 - 6th Street (between Third And Second Avenues West), the new look bringing new washers and dryers and a drop off service where staff will wash, dry, fold and bag your laundry all while you take care of other things while downtown or at work.

It makes for a perfect solution for those working on the fishing boats this summer, or shift workers around town who might find that the laundry pile is getting a bit away from them.

You can get a bit of history on the renovations and what the laundry has to offer from their Facebook page here.

Spotless Laundry is just the start of some impressive plans for the block recently purchased by the Gitga'at, as we noted last week on the blog, they have been busy collecting letters of support from both regional government and Prince Rupert City Council, as they look to move forward a project to create a community space for  Gitga'at members in Prince Rupert.

Towards that goal, they are in the process of applying for grant funding from Northern Development Initiative Trust as part of their community halls grant funding program.

When you drop in to their Sixth Avenue location, you can learn more about their plans while waiting for your laundry to work its way from Rinse to Spin.
