Crowds came and went from Mariner's Park all afternoon as
Prince Rupert celebrated Canada Day 2019

A large crowd of celebrants made their way to Mariner's Park on Monday, ebbing and flowing through the afternoon in celebration of  Prince Rupert's 152nd Birthday party for Canada Day.

With games for the youngsters and the bouncy castle on site there was lots for the youngest of party goers to enjoy, while the Centre Stage with music and dancing the main attraction, found a good and welcoming audience as well through the afternoon.

Tents also offered up Canada Day Quizzes, Balloons and other items to celebrate everything that is Red And White, while some at the Park just put down a blanket or chair and took in the noise and atmosphere of the day's events.

As always though it's the food that seems to be the main attraction for Canada Day, with the stretch of food tents all finding lengthy lines of patient party goers ready to sample the global cross section of food that is offered up at our annual birthday party.

The Day will come to an end with an 11 o'clock fireworks display over Prince Rupert Harbour, weather permitting and things look good to this point, the show will start at 11 PM, with the best vantage point Mariner's Park.
