Blog Watching: Week ending October 4, 2020

Themes of policing captured the attention of readers this week, as our review as to how Terrace and Kitimat provide notes on policing for their communities, compared to what is relayed in Prince Rupert found a large audience.

A note from the Tourism Prince Rupert offices also attracted a an interest readership this week, as a maternity alert and a related job opportunity seems to have resonated well with readers.

With a provincial election now well underway, a few of our stories of the week on the topic proved to be popular.

Also making its mark this week, our item on the decision to cancel this years Prince Rupert Rotary Club Auction  also found a strong following.

However, when it came to the most read item of the last week, the reporting of crime and how City Council's across the region approach the relay of information from their RCMP detachments topped our list of the most read for the last seven days.

North Coast All Candidates Debates to span two nights next week, hosted by Chamber of Commerce --  With as large a territory to cover as the 2020 election campaign brings to the North Coast, the Prince Rupert Chamber of Commerce has decided on a two night approach for the candidates debate for this year. COVID claims another community event, as Prince Rupert Rotary Cancel the 2020 Rotary Auction -- A long time fixture for the North Coast will dim the lights for 2020, with the Prince Rupert Rotary Club making the tough decision to cancel the annual Rotary Auction this year    (posted October 1, 2020)
