A recent hiring call for a number of Gitmaxmak'ay Businesses has helped to fill some of openings with the popular local enterprises; the news of the ongoing hiring work, came with some announcements on operations that were shared recently and will be welcomed by local residents and visitors alike.
Among the business enterprise news, was an update on the newest Society venture of the Yaga Cafe at Rupert Lawn and Garden Centre is set to host its Grand opening on May 14th.
The Seal Cove location one which should benefit much from the recently opened Seal Cove Salt Marsh recreation area which is quickly becoming a popular destination for residents.
Bobs On the Rocks the Popular stop at Rushbrook Floats will be opening for the season, with a new deck for customers open for use sometime this week.
Also receiving an update recently have been the plans ahead for the Rupert Lawn and Garden Centre and the Port Edward General Store.
The Gitmaxmak'ay Nisga'a Society has also posted a video of their recent Community Meeting from April which provides an update on their recent budget planning and some upcoming festivals and other notes of interst from the organization.
Beyond the business updates related to all of their enterprises, among some of the notes, was a review of the damage to a Greenhouse at the Rupert Lawn and Garden Centre and the work required to replace it.
The AGM also provided an update on how the Gitmaxmak'ay Nisga'a Society reinvests its revenues in both enterprises and for Nisga'a residents in the region.
