Station 64 crew quick in response to sinking vessel Friday

Successful mission, RCMSAR Station 64 in Prince Rupert
were off to near Tugwell Island Friday evening
responding to a call for assistance from a vessel in distress


Prince Rupert's Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Crew at Station 64 were quick to respond for a call for assistance on Friday evening, with the crew taking to the water to head for the Tugwell Island area.

With a ten minute response time, the Station 64 crew was able to assist the single occupant of the vessel in distress which had taken on significant water, providing pumping and towing assistance to bring the vessel in question to port.
