Almost Harvest time for Charles Hays Secondary Greenhouse Project

The Crops are coming in at CHSS

The urban farmers at Charles Hays Secondary are almost ready to bring in the crops for the 2019 growing season, with the east side high school making note of some of their work of the last week or so through their Twitter feed.

Charles Hays Principal Sandra Pond is promising some more snapshots of the harvest and notes that they will be available for purchase at the Schools' Open House on Tuesday, September 17th.

The proceeds from the sale will be put back into the Charles Hays Greenhouse Project.

The long running program at the city's high school has been a popular addition to the education program for both students and staff.

The Charles Hays Secondary Open House will take place on the 17th from 6:30 to 8PM in the Multi-purpose room of the Prince Rupert Boulevard school.

In addition to the chance to pick up some produce, you can also explore the school where your children spend their days, collect some swag bags packed with information and meet the staff of the school.

There will be refreshments and door prizes as part of the Open House.
