Prince Rupert and District Hospice Society to host Information night tonight
An opportunity to learn more about the work of the Prince Rupert and District Hospice Society comes tonight at the Prince Rupert Library's Multi-purpose room with the local group hosting an Information meeting from 7 to 8:30 PM.
Members of the organization which provides for support for those in their final stages of life and their families, will offer an outline of what they offer to the community as well as the volunteer opportunities and training that they have in place.
One program which you can learn more information tonight is the Nine Week Support Group that offers the Journey Through Grief program, which will get underway from October 2nd to November 27th.
As part of the program, the Hospice Society provides guidance on what to expect and how to gain skills to manage grief while connecting with others on similar journeys.
While they note that there is no time limit on grief, when it comes to participation in the Nine week program, they suggest that participants should allow for at least three months between your loss and interest in joining the group.
You can find out more information about tomorrow evening's Information session at the Library, as well as the Nine Week program by contacting the Hospice Society at 250-622-6204.
You can also contact them by email at princeruperthospice@gmail.com
