While the finishing touches are applied to the stunning looking new building that has risen on the city's east side, the Cedar Village Housing Society is offering applicants for housing a bit of extra time to get their name on the list of potential occupants.
The facility which has been under construction for much of the last year, is a much anticipated addition to the local housing stock for Elders and Seniors and will offer residences for those 65 and over.
The signature design feature of the building between Seventh And Eighth Avenues East at Green Street is the Medicine Hat toppings that mark the medicine wheel design of the showcase residence.

A notice extending the deadline for applicants was posted yesterday, with the new deadline set to close at 4:30 PM on Friday, October 25th.
The applications can be downloaded from the Cedar Housing Society website or can be picked up in person at the Coastal Resource Centre at 344 Second Avenue West (across from the Bank of Montreal) during their regular business hours.
