Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue to reinforce Home safety as part of National Fire Safety Week

It's been a busy start to Fire Prevention Week for the members
of the Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue Department

With two significant fires in recent days in the downtown area, Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue will probably have the full attention of Prince Rupert residents as they reinforce the message of Home Safety this week.

Weekend Fire scorches Home Hardware, but leaves minimal property damage

Fire Safety Week got underway on Monday, offering seven days of helpful advice on how to make your home, office or business as safe as possible and to remove any potential hazards that may put you in danger.

The Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue Department is using their Social Media page to highlight the Fire Safety Awareness program, with plans to provide further notes for the public through the week.

A range of material for the family is also available from the National Fire Prevention Association which hosts a website that offers up number of items, videos and other presentations to bring home the message of Fire Safety.
