Some local success found on North Coast from High Ground Hike 2022 winners list

There are a few familiar entries on the list of winners of the High Ground Hike event from last month, with Emergency preparedness saluting those who took part in the High Ground Selfie project

The Information program related to Tsunami Awareness featured the event during Tsunami prepardness week from April 10-16.

Of the list just released by the organizers, we took note of the Port Edward Fire/Rescue Department which has won Preparedness kits for four for their contribution.

While Prince Rupert's Vincemt Sampare has won a Preparedness Kit for Two as part of his selfie from the event.

Mike McDowall may also be a winner through his PRMS class hike, though we will await further confirmation from the Ministry of Spelling in Victoria for a correction notice ...

Should we have missed someone, perhaps browse the winners list with us and if so, send us an update in the comments section below, so we can add to the list above if required..

The City of Prince Rupert was a partner organization on High Ground Hike Day providing information on the event and information on local preparedness themes.

North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice, who is also the Parliamentary Secretary for Emergency Preparedness also took note of the success of her constituency when it coma to participation in the April event.
