Three aftershocks have been recorded thirty eight hours after a moderate 6.2 earthquake in Queen Charlotte Sound between Haida Gwaii and Port Hardy, with the largest of the trio of temblors registering at 5.6 magnitude.
All three were located in much the same area as the original quake of late Wednesday evening and struck in a cluster around the 6AM time period.
No threat of Tsunami was generated by today's latest rumblings along the Haida Gwaii to Port Hardy fault line.
As we outlined earlier this week the region had seen the moderate temblor recorded at 9:30 PM on Wednesday evening, it was followed by a smaller earthquake to the north of Prince Rupert near Craig Alaska on Thursday morning.
